Pictured here is Matsumoto castle in the suburb: Matsumoto in Nagano. Nagano is the most populous city in the Japanese Alps and is one of only eleven original castles standing in Japan to this day.

Japan Through Photo #25

The famous torii (gate) on the island of Miyajima in Hiroshima Prefecture. This is at the head of the famed Itsukushima Shrine. The Gate and Shrine are built over water at high tide but dry land at low tide of course.

Today's picture is of the walking path along the Kamogawa at night, I'm pretty proud of this photo personally but wish I could have done a better job with the deep focus, that said this was also an impromptu photo taken in transit to a karaoke bar so maybe technical flaws are overseeable.
